Dr. David S. Chermak
From a young age, Dr. David Chermak knew that he was interested in the medical field. But it was the great experiences he had with his dentist and orthodontist that influenced him to pursue dentistry. A native of California, Dr. Chermak graduated from the University of Kentucky receiving a Bachelors of Business and Administration degree with a major in finance. He attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where he was a member of both Psi Omega and Phi Delta Honorary Dental Societies. He earned his Certification in Orthodontics and Master’s degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.
Upon graduating, he knew he wanted to live in the South and moved to Raleigh, NC. He worked for a practice there for less than a year and then joined Drs. McLain and Steedle. Dr. Chermak and his wife, Marci, then moved to Winston Salem, where they have lived since 2001.
They have two boys, Stephen who is 10 years old and Pierce who is 7. The Chermaks all enjoy traveling and golf, and are passionate about college sports.
For Dr. Chermak, the biggest reward is knowing that he has helped changed someone’s life by creating a beautiful smile that the patient can be proud to show off.
