Exam

During your first visit to our office, we will gather helpful information to determine the best course of orthodontic treatment for you, including:

  • Medical history
  • Dental history
  • Clinical exam
  • Brief consultation

This information will allow your orthodontist to give you a general idea of what type of treatment is needed and an estimated fee for treatment. We will discuss the final decision for treatment and fees during the next appointment, where we will evaluate the diagnostic records.

Records

If treatment is indicated during the initial examination, records will be needed to help us create a personalized treatment plan specifically for you. We value your time and therefore, will often take the records during the same visit as the exam. The records include X-rays, photos and impressions for study models and are necessary for developing the appropriate treatment plan.
